Thackeray-Vincent, a Berlinbased artist, that uses painting to invent instruments, maps and landscapes. His work considers the tools we make and how they shape us, from the old and obsolete to the new and emergent: A theme shared in his research of how digital technology helps and hinders meaningful interaction between artists working today. For him, painting is the perfect filter in our age of attention. A sponge, that tracks a slow, hidden and often surreal arc, moving at its own pace and in time to an individual rhythm.
