On July 2, 2023, the 6-hour workshop “Codes of Orality: The Naked Voice” took place in Zemin Berlin, led by polymath artist Massimiliano Di Carlo. The immersive experience explored voice and body, integrating natural codes of orality. Participants engaged in expanding their spoken voice, learning overtone singing, and exploring postural training and physical exercises. Massimiliano Di Carlo, known for his expertise in various artistic disciplines, fused ancient codes of orality with modern experimentation in his music. The workshop emphasized the harmony between body, breath, and thought to unlock the power of the voice. Participants enjoyed numerous benefits, such as improving vocal emission, deepening breathing techniques, and exploring profound emotional states through sound. The workshop catered to professionals and non-professionals in the voice field, including singers, actors, and teachers. The schedule included body and vocal work, theoretical insights, and creative improvisation. Massimiliano’s philosophy celebrated inclusivity and the transformative nature of sound vibration. Throughout the day, participants discovered the connection between body and voice, finding resonance and authenticity through the liberation of their voices and the harmony within themselves.
