Reclaiming the Postmemory: Artist Talk with Alejandra Areﾌ」alo, Phuong Hoang & Veroﾌ］ica Losantos

The talk will include Alejandra Areﾌ」alo, Phuong Hoang and Veroﾌ］ica Losantos and take their work departing from history as a the centre of discussion. All three of the artists reimagined artifacts of history in the most broad sense, and brought them to our current times with the help of an intensive research process. Areﾌ」alo investigates the collective memory of Vietnamese rice workers in Marseille and sheds a light on the French colonial history, Hoang challenges the boundaries of reality with the multiverse hypothesis, and Losantos narrates the story of a flooded Spanish village from the 60s and its ultimate relocation.
